R2-Db is bringing their contest to a close

A little over one month ago R2-Db started a contest for a Collector's Edition of SWTOR. To enter all you have to do is register on their site and "like" their Facebook page. The winner was to be announced after they reached 2,500 likes but they've capped out at around 1,300. After this announcement today it looks like everyone's odds are about to get a bit better! They are now going to end the contest this coming Sunday regardless of how many likes they have. If you haven't entered already, I suggest you do it now.

The CE is going to be very important for collectors of anything vanity related, I believe. For one thing we get the Mouse Droid that no other edition gets. We also have access to the exclusive store which I'm sure will sell other pets and possibly mounts. We already know they will sell what might as well be vanity gear. I know for some of you it's hard to justify $150 for these things, especially in our current economy, but you can't get much cheaper than free. So go ahead and enter!

Signature Generator

Someone on Twitter linked to this SWTOR signature generator and I thought I would pass it along. It has quite a few options to really customize it, although sadly does not seem to have a green female Twilek avatar. =( Regardless it would make a fine addition to any forum signature. Below you can see an example that I made based on my own character.

The Anticipation

Since the game isn't out yet I obviously am not the owner of any SWTOR vanity pets at this time, although I do have one on pre-order. I'm hoping SWTOR doesn't tease you like WoW does, making you wait till level 5 or higher before letting you near a mailbox (and thus your CE pet waiting inside). I'm not sure how I'll be able to tear myself away from the game in order to blog about my pet discoveries but I want to get my experiences, joys, frustrations, and triumphs in writing this time. Since as of this writing I am both unemployed and possibly out of school for the semester I'll have more time to dedicate to the game than many 23 year olds could hope. Seeing as I'll have this extra time and won't want to out level my husband I'm sure I'll be able to take the time needed to describe my journeys. I hope you will stay and enjoy the ride with me.
